Additional service

Description of the service

DPD10 and DPD12

Delivery of a parcel in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in particular towns at 10:00 am or 12:00 pm at the latest. Domestic parcels will be delivered on the next working day following the posting of the shipment. Depending on the destination +1 working day may be added to the delivery time when sending to Latvia and Lithuania.

The recipient may only be a company.

DPD Same Day

Delivery of a shipment in major Estonian towns at the latest on the same working day when the shipment was posted.

The recipient may only be a company.

Document return

Additional service for the return of documents added to the consignment by the Consignor and superscribed by the Recipient to the Consignor. For example: invoices, instruments of delivery and receipt or contracts. NOTE! The Consignor is responsible for instructing the Recipient on how to superscribe. Documents are returned 1, 2 or 4 times a month.. 

The recipient may be a private customer or a company.

 

Service area: entire Estonia (except for small islands), Latvia and Lithuania.

Guarantee

Service for delivery of urgent and priority parcels during a determined number of working days. Delivery by a specific date, always before the end of the business day.

Depending on the country of destination, a DPD Guarantee parcel is delivered within 1-5 working days in Europe.

The recipient may only be a company.

Department delivery

A service suitable for clients who need goods delivered, e.g. to shops located in shopping centres or to home or office door and there are several parcels for the Recipient at once, with a total weight of more than 31.5 kg. The maximum allowed total weight of the parcels is 700 kg. Vehicle access to the front door of the building and the option to use a lift if the building is more than five storeys high must be ensured. One place allowed for delivery. Parcels cannot be oversized and overweight.

The recipient may be a private customer or a company.

 

Service area: entire Estonia (except for small islands), Latvia and Lithuania.

ID-check

The identity of the recipient is identified on the basis of an identity document. A photo is taken of the identity document and sent to the customer if needed. Additionally, the recipient acknowledges the receipt of the consignment with their signature.

Two-man delivery service

The goods are delivered to the delivery address noted by the Consignor. Vehicle access to the front door of the building and the option to use a lift if the building is more than five storeys high must be ensured. The parcel is unloaded from the transport vehicle and delivered at the Recipient’s request to the door on the desired floor. Two couriers or a courier with an assistive device provide the service. The dimensions of goods must allow unobstructed movement inside the building. Suitable for transporting a consignment with a total weight of more than 150 kg or a consignment with a unit that weighs more than 31.5 kg. The parcel may contain several packing units, but the actual weight (with packaging) of one packing unit may not exceed 80 kg. The maximum allowed total weight of the shipment is 700 kg. Goods: large home appliances, sofas, flat mattresses, furniture, chairs, greenhouses, etc.  

The recipient may be a private customer or a company.

 

Service area: entire Estonia (except for small islands and Hiiumaa), Latvia and Lithuania.

Collection request

Collection of a consignment from a third person. The goods are collected from the address you request and delivered to you or your business partner’s address.

Saturday delivery

Consignments will be delivered to the recipient on Saturday.

The recipient may be a private customer or a company.

 

Service area: entire Estonia (except for small islands), Latvia and Lithuania. In case of Latvia and Lithuania, contact DPD's Sales Department for more information about specific service areas and conditions.

Additional insurance

Goods sent in the DPD network are insured up to €520 per parcel, and parcel locker parcels up to €265.Our contracted customers can insure especially valuable consignments with additional insurance. To order additional insurance, contact DPD's customer service at [email protected] Include the parcel number of the consignment, the value of the object or consignment and product description in your e-mail. Additional insurance must be ordered before the courier has picked up the consignment.

C.O.D.

The C.O.D. service allows the recipient of the goods to pay the DPD courier for the goods in part or in full upon the delivery of the goods or collection of a parcel at a DPD parcel locker. C.O.D. also allows the possibility to decrease the credit risk for the sender, as goods are not delivered before the recipient has paid for them. Common bank cards (except American Express) can be used for payment.

Hazardous goods

Handling and transport of hazardous goods in limited quantities within Estonia according to valid legislation. Transporting hazardous goods with DPD requires signing a corresponding annex to the agreement with DPD Eesti AS. List of goods that cannot be transported with DPD is available in the General Terms of Service.

Returns with PIN

Returning parcels to the sender via DPD parcel lockers. After receiving the parcel, the recipient will be sent an SMS and/or an email with options for returning it. The SMS and/or email will contain a PIN or QR code necessary for returning the parcel. The customer can print the return label from the parcel locker and return the parcel to the sender by typing in the PIN at the parcel locker or by scanning the QR code.

The parcels are returned via DPD parcel lockers and with delivery to a specified address.

Regular pickup

Regular pickup is intended for contractual customers to hand over goods on a regular basis: every day or on specific weekdays during a specific time slot. The courier will arrive to pick up the goods at the specified time and there is no need to order courier services separately. If you do not have goods for delivery at the time specified for regular pickup or you need to change vehicle type (exchange a van for a lorry with a tailgate or vice versa), please inform DPD’s customer service of this.

 

Contact DPD’s customer service at [email protected] to order regular pickups. Specify your company’s customer code or company name, pickup address, type of consignment (parcels or pallets), the weekdays and time slots you prefer in the e-mail.

Thermo teenus

Service for transporting temperature-sensitive goods (e.g., pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, food supplements, medical equipment, prescription and over-the-counter drugs). The service includes three temperature ranges: 2–25 °C, 15–25 °C, 2–8 °C.

The recipient may be a private customer or a company.
