No consequences found due to data breach in Log4j

Last weekend, the Nieuwsuur programme paid attention to the risks of security breaches at large companies. The current risk is caused by a specific piece of software called Log4j - software used by almost all companies to keep digital logs. For example, the software records which user names log into a website and when.

As with all other reports of risks, we at DPD naturally took this one very seriously too. Our IT team, together with a number of cooperation partners, immediately mapped out the risks and we have taken extra measures where necessary. We have also closed applications with an increased risk until further notice. This has no impact on our services.

At the moment, there are no indications that the vulnerability has been misused within DPD. However, due to the size of the risk, we are also dependent on the correct measures being taken by our suppliers and customers. For this reason, we urge you to pay attention to the data connections you have with DPD. For example, when using plugins.

Of course, we will continue to follow the developments in this area closely in order to limit the risks for us and our customers as much as possible.
