Every day, we deliver thousands of parcels with care and dedication. Most of the time, everything goes according to plan – in our sorting process, on the road, and in our systems. But sometimes, delays can occur due to busy periods, weather, public holidays, or a technical update or disruption. On this page, we’ll keep you informed about anything that may affect your delivery or our digital tools. That way, you always know what to expect.

Delays

On this page you’ll find an overview of current delays in our services. We’re working hard to deliver parcels as quickly as possible and will keep you updated here about any disruptions.

Update 29 January 2026: delays in the Hamburg region (Northern Germany)

In the Hamburg region (Northern Germany), there are currently challenges in processing small-sort parcels. As a result, these parcels may experience delays.

Update 16 January 2026: Parcel update: delays in Lombardy (Italy)

In the Lombardy region (Italy), shipments are currently experiencing delays due to operational pressure during the peak period and local actions. As a result, deliveries may take longer than usual.

Our partner BRT is working hard to clear the backlog as quickly as possible and return operations to normal. Part of the shipments that have been waiting at the Origgio hub since last Monday are expected to be processed gradually from tomorrow onwards.

We will share updates as soon as there is more clarity and transit times improve.

Warning: phishing messages in circulation

We are currently seeing phishing SMS and email messages being sent in the name of DPD. These messages often come from an international phone number that is not ours, contain links to fake websites, and ask for personal information or to reschedule a delivery.

Our advice:

  • Do not click on links in these messages
  • Always check that the email address ends with @dpd.nl
  • Only schedule deliveries via dpd.nl or the official DPD app
  • Call us only on our official phone number 085-0022222

Russia:

We suspended all Geopost shipments to and from Russia on February 28th, 2022.

Worldwide:

Geopost has decided it will not ship parcels to Cuba, South Sudan, North Korea, Myanmar (Burma) and Syria. Should you wish to ship your products to these countries, this is not possible trough DPD.
