UPDATE - OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING YEAR-END DELIVERY DELAYS

DPD Hungary hereby informs its valued customers and members of the media that, due to the exceptionally high parcel volumes at year-end, delivery delays have occurred in certain areas of Budapest and the surrounding region. As stated in our previous communication, we are providing continuous and transparent updates to recipients regarding the situation.

We are fully aware that the Christmas period is particularly important and sensitive for many of our customers and their families, and we sincerely apologize that this year we are unable to perform at our usual high standard. All of our colleagues and partners are currently working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

We consider it important to clearly state that our customers’ parcels have not been lost . All shipments are fully traceable, and every parcel is currently in the delivery process. Due to reinforced capacities, the delays affect less than 5% of shipments; nevertheless, we understand that the situation causes significant inconvenience for those affected.

DPD Hungary’s employees and subcontractors are working with increased capacity, including weekend operations and continuous operational monitoring, to ensure that all parcels reach their recipients as soon as possible. The last planned delivery day before Christmas is December 23. However, it is important to note that for Budapest addresses, we guarantee the first delivery attempt before Christmas for parcels collected by DPD from senders before December 15. For parcels sent to other parts of the country, the first delivery attempt before Christmas will be for shipments collected by December 19.

In parallel, from December 1, 2025, we have introduced a 24/7 email-based automatic response system that provides immediate status information regarding parcels. Our parcel tracking interface and the DPD mobile application continue to offer customers the most accurate, real-time updates.

For affected customers, the following options continue to be available:

DPD Hungary takes full responsibility for managing the current situation and is doing everything possible to ensure that parcels entrusted to us are delivered safely and within the shortest possible time. All of our colleagues and partners are currently focused on resolving this issue as quickly as possible, and during this challenging period we thank our partners and customers for their patience and understanding.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING YEAR-END DELIVERY DELAYS

DPD Hungary hereby informs its valued customers and members of the media that due to the exceptionally high parcel volumes at the end of the year, delivery delays have occurred in certain areas of Budapest and its surrounding region. We are providing continuous and transparent information to affected consignees regarding the status of their parcels.

At present, all of our colleagues and partners are working intensively to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

The delays affect approximately 10% of parcels; however, we fully understand that this situation causes significant inconvenience for those impacted.

DPD Hungary’s employees and subcontractors are operating with increased capacity, including weekend work and continuous operational monitoring, to ensure that all parcels reach their recipients as soon as possible. The last planned delivery day before Christmas is December 23. We firmly distance ourselves from the practice whereby private individuals or public figures disclose the direct contact details of our company executives and encourage customers to contact the company via these personal channels. The dozens of threatening or harassing messages received in recent periods do not contribute to resolving the situation. DPD Hungary’s objective is the responsible and swift handling of issues, not their escalation. In this regard, we appreciate the support of the public and kindly ask our customers to use our official channels to ensure fast and efficient case handling.
