How to send a parcel to a non-EU country?

1. Pack and mark the parcel(s) in accordance with the DPD parcel delivery rules.

2.1. Prepare documents:

Invoice (when the goods are sent for sale and have a commercial value) or Pro forma invoice (when the goods have no commercial value (e.g., samples of products, gifts)). A total of 6 original copies of the document with signatures and stamps must be prepared for each parcel, 4 out of those 6 copies must travel with the parcel. Invoices must be prepared in English. It is recommended to print invoices on the company's letterhead.

Export declaration: When handing over the parcel (envelope or package) for carriage, a copy of the export declaration must be attached to it. DPD does not perform customs procedures. Oficialūs muitinės tarpininkai visada skelbiami https://www.lrmuitine.lt. DPD is not responsible for customs or VAT duties. If the consignor or the consignee has not timely settled accounts with the tax authorities, has not filled the documents correctly or has not submitted the required documents and DPD has incurred additional costs as a consequence, DPD has the right to provide the customer with an additional invoice to cover the incurred costs.

3. Attach documents to the parcel.

All documents must be placed in a clear plastic sleeve or special envelope and firmly affixed to each package. The documents must be firmly affixed so that they will stay attached during the entire journey – if the documents are lost, it will not be possible to carry out customs procedures, which will lead to a delay of the delivery or even return of the parcel.

4. Make an order.

If you regularly send more than one package to a specific recipient in a non-European Union country, contact the Sales Department and we will advise you on how to optimally prepare shipments and minimise shipping costs.
