DPD opens its 1000th Pickup parcel shop at BP in Vaassen.

The Pickup parcel shop network of parcel delivery service DPD now has 1000 pickup points.

Oirschot, 25 June 2020 – Parcel delivery service DPD is opening today its 1000th Dutch Pickup parcel shop at BP in Vaassen. DPD has a total of 46,000 parcel shops throughout Europe. The parcel shops in the Netherlands are mainly located in shops, but from now on can also be found at several BP petrol stations in the Vaassen region.

DPD’s Pickup parcel shop network continues to grow each year. Consumers like to be able to decide where to have their online order delivered, or where they can return an order. They want to benefit from convenience and flexibility. DPD’s Pickup parcel shops are not exclusive, and DPD expressly welcomes the sharing of the shop networks. The parcel shops distributed throughout Europe offer DPD an uncomplicated, user-friendly and flexible service for cross-border deliveries. DPD will continue to expand its parcel shop network in 2021 in order to meet rising demand.

Eric Dietz, CEO of DPD Nederland: “We are very pleased to open our 100th Pickup parcel shop. DPD’s Pickup parcel shop network is growing every year, both in Europe and in the Netherlands, and so we are delighted that BP Vaassen has joined our network. Petrol stations are readily accessible, have convenient opening hours and consumers find them nice and easy to use. We feel it is important that a parcel shop fulfils these needs, as the end recipient is always our priority.”
