Get to know the extensive network of DPD

DPD has a large network of Pickup parcelshops. In the Netherlands, DPD even has the densest network of parcelshops. But how is that network actually organised? And how is it being expanded? We are pleased to explain.

At present, DPD has around 1400 Pickup parcelshops in the Netherlands. During the past year we have almost doubled the number of parcelshops. But our ambition goes further! 97% of Dutch recipients can now reach a parcelshop within ten minutes. Our aim is to increase this density within a year to 100%. We want everyone in towns and cities to be just ten minutes’ walk away from a Pickup parcelshop. And a ten-minute drive away for those living out of town.

The first Pickup parcelshops were located in shops. But in order to meet customers’ needs better, the type of location has been extended further as well. For example, parcels can now be collected from and handed in at specially designated neighbourhood points and fitness centres. For next year, DPD is planning to open business points and lockers too.
