In accordance with the applicable customs regulations, every shipment of goods or documents outside the EU must be declared. Documents must only be clearly marked. An accompanying commercial invoice or pro forma invoice is required for goods. A commercial invoice is issued if the goods have a commercial value. A pro forma invoice is drawn up if the goods have no commercial value. The commercial invoice provides information on the shipper and consignee of the goods and, above all, contains a complete description of all contents and details of the value. One original and five copies must accompany the parcel. At DPD the commercial or pro-forma invoices can be conveniently issued online.
