Become the reference in sustainable delivery
Sustainability is the biggest challenge of our times. At Geopost, we are pioneering a truly sustainable business. It’s what drives us every day. We aim to be a force for good in the world, joining forces with customers, consumers, suppliers and other stakeholders to make a positive difference to people, to our planet and to the communities we operate with.
Geopost is also at the forefront of the e-commerce revolution, touching the lives of millions of people every day – that’s another reason why we’re striving to be the most sustainable delivery company. Because wherever we live on Earth, we all share the same address.”
Jean-Claude Sonet, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Geopost
We all share the #SameAddress
In 2021, we delivered 2.1 bn parcels worldwide. But when it comes to protecting future generations and our cherished planet, we all share the same address. That’s why we’ve reduced our CO2 emissions per parcel by 18.8% since 2013 and we’ll reach 30% by 2025, when our delivery vehicles in Europe’s 225 largest cities will be 100% low- emission.
Inspired and guided by the three pillars of our Sustainability approach – ‘People, Planet and Communities’ – Geopost is working harder than ever to create a social and environmental legacy that our children can be proud of.
As we touch the lives of many people every day with our business, this year we decided to further strengthen our green vision and present it to thousands of people who gravitate to Zagreb! We want our "green" DPD tram to draw attention to the strategy of sustainability and the vision of a cleaner planet, and we hope that citizens will recognize the efforts that DPD Croatia is investing in the preservation of our planet and ecological delivery.

Essential to us: carbon-neutral parcel shipping without additional costs to shippers and consignees. We closely monitor the greenhouse gases we generate and work continuously on reducing our carbon footprint. Any unavoidable transport emissions are offset by investment in projects for renewable energies and clean energy generation.
High levels of traffic density and pollution in inner cities require new solutions to parcel delivery operations. We are developing sustainable city logistics concepts in order to ensure deliveries to inner-city areas in future, too.

As a delivery company, we have many opportunities to generate contacts and build long-lasting relationships. Our ambition is to make a positive contribution to the communities we’re the closest to. We have a wide range of topics and areas in which our employees are involved: solidarity transport, disadvantaged children and youth, the elderly, health, education, poverty, and environment.
Our Net Zero target is endorsed by the Science Based Target initiative.
In July 2022 we submitted our ambitious Net Zero target to the Science Based Target initiative and now we are proud to announce that we are the first global parcel delivery company to have both short and long term greenhouse gas reduction targets approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).
This important milestone confirms our Net Zero ambition by 2040, which is aligned with climate science and puts us on a clear path to becoming an international reference in sustainable delivery. To achieve this, we will mainly focus on:
the electrification of our vehicle fleet, to last-mile delivery, as well as to line vehicles and warehouses (100% by 2035);
diversifying our liner fleet to include alternative propulsion technologies such as biogas, biofuel, electric and hydrogen powered trucks and moving more packages by rail, all to increase the share of alternative liner solutions to 50% by 2030 (100% by 2040 ),
the transition to renewable energy for powering logistics locations and offices and the transition to greater energy efficiency with the goal of using 70% of energy from renewable sources by 2030 (100% by 2035),
electrification of our company vehicle fleet by increasing the share of electric vehicles to 90% by 2030 (100% by 2035).
Geopost's vision by 2025 is to deliver parcels to more than 225 major European cities across 20 countries, exclusively with zero or very low emissions vehicles, ensure "green delivery" for 80 million inhabitants, introduce 7,000 alternative delivery vehicles and to open 80 new urban depots around Europe, to be even closer to our customers.
