myDPD: the new portal for recipients

DPD has developed a new portal for recipients: myDPD. It gives parcel recipients full insight into the DPD parcels in transit. They see where their parcel is and can amend the delivery details if their plans change. It’s quick and easy to change the address or date, specify a ‘Safe Place’ or request delivery to a Pickup parcelshop.

How does myDPD work?
Once a recipient has created an account with myDPD, each parcel will then appear automatically in the portal, thanks to the link between the recipient’s email address and the shipper’s address. So recipients don’t need to wait for an email from DPD to get information about the parcel.
If the recipient prefers not to create an account, that’s not a problem. Receipients can use the portal as a guest. All they need to do is enter the parcel number and their postcode to retrieve all the information about the parcel
.

The functionalities at a glance
MyDPD offers recipients all kinds of practical functionalities.

  • Recipients can login using Facebook, Google +, Apple ID, or with an email address.
  • Five email addresses and/or telephone numbers can be added to each account.
  • Parcels can be readily tracked and traced.
  • It’s easy to amend delivery options. So if recipients needs to change the address or delivery date, specify a ‘Safe Place’ or request delivery to a Pickup parcelshop, it can all be done in no time.
  • Recipients can use the Pickup Finder to find a parcelshop near them.
  • Recipients can give a rating to the delivered parcel.
  • FAQs provides answers to common questions, while there is also the option to contact Customer Service..

Get the most out of myDPD
To get the most out of myDPD, here are a couple of tips:

  1. Add the recipient’s email address or phone number to the data you send to DPD. Your customer will then see all the parcels straight away in myDPD.
  2. If you use the tracking.dpd.de url to inform your customers about the DPD parcel, change this url and use the new url to the myDPD portal. Below is an example of a test parcel with number 05222927428260. The url to be changed doesn’t have a parcel number, of course.

Old: https://tracking.dpd.de/status/nl_NL/parcel/05222927428260

New: https://www.dpdgroup.com/nl/mydpd/my-parcels/search?parcelNumber=05222927428260       Postcode 5688HA
