Export to UK - Senders

I use the Online Shipping Service of DPD and I have created a parcel label for a parcel being sent to the UK. What happens next?

1. Once you have paid, you can download your parcel label from the site. You will also receive this document by e-mail.

2. You stick the parcel label on the box

3. You can hand over the parcel to DPD. This can either be a delivery at the a Pickup parcel shop or you have ordered a collection request (the driver will pick up the parcel)

4. Your parcel will be sent to the United Kingdom, checked by customs and stored at DPD UK.

5. DPD UK contacts the recipient for payment of the costs. The amount can be paid via a secure online payment solution.

6. Once the recipient has paid the costs, the parcel will be sent to the correct depot in the UK to be delivered to the recipient by a driver. The duration of your package therefore also depends on the moment of payment of the recipient.

7. If the recipient ultimately does not pay, the package will be returned to the Netherlands.

8. Does the recipient pay the import costs but does he still want to return it? This can be done by creating a new parcel label, for example via the online shipping service of DPD UK: DPD Local. New customs forms and import costs in the Netherlands are also involved. These entry costs must be paid by the person to whom the parcel is returned. DPD Netherlands will contact you about the costs to be paid.

9. As soon as the parcel has arrived at the recipient residence, you will receive an e-mail.
