IMPORTANT NOTICE: DELIVERIES DURING LOCKDOWN

Published: 12/2020

Dear users of DPD services,

Following the current situation regarding the pandemic, some countries are introducing partial or complete lockdown, which also means that many shops and businesses will close or have already closed.

Parcels will be delivered exclusively to the residential address or the address of the company you specify. It is extremely important that you provide all the contact details of the recipient (name and surname, address, telephone number). To allow uninterrupted delivery, check with the recipient before sending the shipment to see if they will be able to pick up the parcel. Otherwise, please do not submit parcels for distribution.

Accordingly, all parcels that will not be possible to deliver on the first delivery attempt will be returned to the sender immediately.

Thank you in advance for your understanding, which is of immense importance at this time - we all want things around the world to return to normal as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance for your understanding!

CONTACTLESS DELIVERY AND RECEIVING PARCELS WITH A PIN CODE

Published: 19/10/2020

Dear users of DPD services,

Following the current situation related to the coronavirus pandemic, we have introduced PIN delivery - contactless, simple and secure parcel delivery.

When delivering the parcel, the driver will ask the recipient for a PIN code, which he then enters into the scanner. Each PIN code is unique, it is created separately for each shipment. On the day of parcel delivery, the recipient will receive a unique PIN code via e-mail or Viber/SMS message. In case the recipient is not able to receive the parcel, the PIN code can be distributed to an authorized person (family member or friend) so that they can receive the parcel on behalf of the recipient. Because the PIN code acts as a personal identification, caution is advised when transferring the PIN code to another person. When receiving a parcel with a PIN code, additional written confirmation is no longer required. In the event that the recipient of the package deletes or loses the PIN code by mistake, the recipient will still be able to receive the parcel, and the driver will note that the parcel has been delivered (enter the last name of the person who received the parcel, indicating COV 19).

Also, parcel recipients are invited to make payments through an online store (online banking or credit card) when possible. This way, they will contribute to the contactless delivery of parcels (especially when paying in cash). If this is not possible, all our recipients, regardless of the payment they have chosen from their online merchant, can make an online payment through a secure real-time online credit card authorization system, WSPay. Recipients can pay for their parcels online when they have received notification that the parcel has left for delivery or when the cdriver has already arrived at the address. This way, it will be possible to deliver parcels without contact, which cannot be achieved by choosing cash on delivery.

DELIVERY CROATIA

Published: 30/4/2020

Dear users of DPD services,

in order to prevent the risk of COVID-19 spreading to a minimum, a number of stores were closed, resulting in an increase in online commerce and consequently larger parcel volumes than are usual for this time of year.

Abundant volumes of parcels directly affect the operational and logistics processes, which can ultimately lead to delays in the delivery of parcels.

The standard delivery time is 24 hours. That is why we do everything in our power to ensure that the parcels are delivered as soon as possible. However, in accordance with the new situation, and in order to ensure the safety of you, your suppliers, our employees and partners and to reduce the possibility of spreading corona virus to a minimum, we also take all measures to ensure that all packages that go through pass the recommended security measures. For that reason, it is possible that the delivery time will be a bit longer.

Due to the recommended health measures, the customer service works in slightly different conditions than usual, but it is still available for all your inquiries, so we kindly ask you to be patient if you do not receive an answer within 24 hours. We are aware that some of you have been waiting a long time for an answer and receive our apologies this way. We respond to all inquiries in the order of receipt and assure you that all will be resolved.

Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding!
