If you use the Online Shipping Service of DPD, your parcel is insured against damage and loss according to the AVC-CMR conditions without extra payment. 

The following legally determined rates apply as standard: 

1. for shipping to a domestic address, the compensation is € 3.40 per kilogram (if the package weighs 20 kilos, € 68);
2. when shipped to a foreign address via SDR (8.33 Special Drawing Rights), the fee, if the package weighs 20 kilos is approximately € 207 according to the SDR Euro exchange rate on April 29, 2019.

The General Terms and Conditions contain more information about compensation. It’s not possible to insure your parcel for a higher value if you use the Online Shipping Service of DPD. If you have a contract with DPD ypu are able to insure your parcel up to €13.000.
