A new depot in Kranj is open

Ljubljana, January 2022 – On Monday, 10^th of January 2022, we opened a new depot in Kranj. The location of the new depot has been chosen as an excellent starting point for the delivery of Kranj.

At DPD Slovenia, we are aware of the importance of sustainable development and at the same time we constantly strive to satisfy the wishes and needs of our customers and end users. Among other things, we are constantly expanding our network of depots. We already have 6 of them in Slovenia - in Ljubljana, Koper, Celje, Maribor and Novo mesto, and today, on 10^th of January 2022, a new depot in Kranj opened, at the following address:

The location of the new depot has been chosen as an excellent starting point for the delivery of Kranj. The Municipality of Kranj has also adopted a new urban plan, which envisages the construction of a logistics and economic zone in the wider area of ​​the existing Hrastje zone, with a total area of ​​28 hectares.

With the change of purpose and adaptation, we restored life to the once dilapidated building with a new depot, and in the process of adaptation we did not rebuild a single piece of fertile land.

The building has 5 large and 12 smaller doors and a large canopy for the purpose of loading and unloading larger delivery trucks. The length of the built-in conveyor belt is just over 56 meters, and the handling equipment also includes two 4-meter-long ramps and a few smaller inclined belts. The manoeuvring area available around the depot is more than 1,200 m2.

The depot is a new home for 25 couriers, who will now be even more locally present, ensuring even faster delivery.
