Following the trends of previous years,  this year we also expect increased parcel volumes, especially right before holidays. Accordingly, we have already adjusted our business and operational processes to meet the estimated parcel delivery time.

Sending parcels with DPD

To make sure that your gifts arrive on time, our recommendation is that you start thinking about buying them now and do not delay the purchase until the last minute.

Due to the larger number of online orders at this time of year, there are significantly larger volumes of parcels, which can prolong the delivery time.

Safe parcel delivery

In the midst of the current coronavirus pandemic, and in order to minimize physical contact, we have introduced PIN delivery - contactless delivery with a PIN code (more information available at: Contactless delivery and receiving parcels with a PIN code).

Our drivers wear protective masks and respect measures of social distancing, in order to preserve their own health, the health of all our clients and consignees.

Did you know that you don’t have to wait at home for your parcel to arrive?

For complete flexibility of delivery, you can redirect the parcel via the myDPD application:

  • at 420 Pickup locations throughout Croatia - INA gas stations
  • at Pickup Station parcel lockers available 24/7 - Zagreb headquarters, Slatinska 7 and 9 locations in front of Lidl stores throughout Croatia
  • at DPD City depot at Gundulićeva 21, Zagreb or you can choose delivery to a safe place, for example in a tool shed, garage, etc.

How to pack parcels properly?

In order for all of your parcels to arrive safely at their destinations, we kindly ask you to take care of the correct packaging of the goods so that the packaging or the contents of the parcels are not damaged during transport. You can find more tips on proper packaging here: Packing tips

In addition, you should pay attention to the correctly filled in consignee information (name and surname, address, contact e-mail or phone number) and correctly paste the parcel label (remove all old parcel labels, paste it at the top side of the parcel in a visible place).

Also, please bear in mind that in case of parcel damage, compensation will not be possible without proof of the value of the goods in the parcel (invoice).

The Peak season has officially begun. In this period of the year, within DPDgroup we expect an increase in parcel volume of 30% compared to the same period last year, or an increase of 60% compared to current daily volumes. Around 14 million parcels will be delivered daily through the DPD network on Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the week before Christmas.

We are aware that this time of year your sales activities are stronger than usual, so we have adjusted our business and operational processes in order to comply with the estimated parcel delivery time, all in compliance with the recommended health measures.
