Phishing is when cybercriminals try to obtain your login details and personal information.

Like many companies, criminals also create fake emails from DPD. For example:

• You receive an email asking you to log in to a website that looks very similar to DPD's.
  • Please note: this is a fake site. You do not need to log in to dpd.nl. If you log in to the fake site, your login details will be immediately forwarded to the fraudster.
• You receive a request to pay for the delivery of a parcel.
  • Please note: the sender has already paid for the parcel, so you do not need to pay for delivery and you should never pay cash at the door! 
• You receive an email stating that a parcel is ready for you but cannot be delivered. You are asked to download something.
  • Please note: DPD will never ask you to download anything in order to have a parcel delivered. You will probably install a virus that searches your computer for personal data.
