Is the person collecting my parcels really from DPD or is this fraud?

DPD prefers to have your parcels collected by a regular driver. However, it may be that someone else is on duty or that DPD sends a courier to collect your parcels. This person should have the following with them:

  • DPD clothing
  • DPD badge
  • Scanner with which he must scan the parcels in your presence
  • Delivery van with DPD logo

If this is not the case and you are unsure whether this is really a DPD driver, you can do the following:

  • First ask to see the DPD badge with photo to identify themselves.
  • If this person does not have a DPD badge, ask to see their driving licence.
  • Make a note of the name and number of the driving licence (you are not allowed to make a copy).
  • Contact DPD's depot planning department and ask if they know this person.

Collection from parcel point:

If a driver comes to collect parcels from your shop and you are unsure whether this person is really from DPD, first check whether they have a DPD badge and a scanner with them. If they do not have these or you are unsure about their identification, do not hand over any parcels but contact the DPD Pickup team (+31 499-339963).
