Aschaffenburg, 12th of January 2026 - The winner of the “DPD loves small shops” competition has been announced: Hero Luremakers, a fishing lure manufacturer from Ammerndorf near Nuremberg, will receive one year of free shipping with DPD. The campaign in fall 2025 was aimed specifically at newly founded small and medium-sized enterprises. New SME customers were able to take part in the competition via social media posts and a linked landing page and register for the prize draw by filling out a form.
With this competition, DPD Germany underlined its commitment to supporting small shops and growing companies as a logistics partner from an early stage. “Small and medium-sized enterprises are a central part of our growth strategy,” explains DPD Germany. “With the ‘DPD loves small shops’ campaign, we wanted to show that we also offer efficient, professional solutions for smaller shipping volumes – and that we actively support our smaller customers in their growth.”
Winning a year of free shipping means a noticeable relief in day-to-day business and additional planning security costs for the winning company. At the same time, the winner gains access to DPD’s Europe-wide logistics network and its digital services.

The small team lovingly handcrafts high-quality, innovative predator lures that are “Made in Germany.” The products are lead-free, durable, and sustainably designed, combining classic fly fishing streamer techniques with modern soft bait elements (Artificial bait made of rubber or silicone). The range is complemented by individually configurable lures that are manufactured according to customer specifications.
