DPD launches carbon report for business customers

Aschaffenburg, 12th September 2025 - Transparency is the first step toward greater climate protection. DPD Germany is now providing its business customers with a powerful analysis tool for measuring CO₂ emissions from parcel shipping: the carbon report. This tool allows CO₂ emissions to be calculated precisely – along the entire transport chain from pickup to delivery, not only in Germany but also beyond its borders.

The new carbon report sets a standard for data-based climate accounting in parcel shipping. It enables us to offer decision-making certainty for ESG reporting, customer inquiries, and audits—a clear added value for all companies that want to strategically manage and effectively communicate their sustainability goals.

The basis for this is a scientifically sound tool from the Geopost network, which comprises more than 50 countries and includes DPD Germany. The carbon report is based on recognized international standards for emissions accounting in freight transport. It is recognized by the Smart Freight Centre as compliant with the GLEC framework guideline and ISO 14083. In addition, it meets the requirements of EN 17837, which describes the quantification, allocation, and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions at the shipment level (parcel).

The carbon report is another building block in the sustainability approach. With it, DPD Germany supports its business customers in identifying CO₂ reduction potential and taking responsibility for climate protection.
