Which groceries can I ship with DPD?

With DPD you can ship fresh and perishable groceries with passive cooling - e.g. meat, cheese, delicacies or baked goods.

How are the goods cooled?

DPD Food Express ensures freshness due to short leadtimes and secure transport handling. Passive cooling is provided by packaging supplied by the sender, which is tailored to the respective products. In combination with our fast delivery times, your goods remain reliably cool and fresh.

How long does the delivery take?

With DPD Food Express, deliveries within Germany are usually made on the next working day. If the delivery time is exceeded, the consignment is either disposed of professionally or - if possible - made available to a charitable organisation.

Can groceries be returned?

As these are fresh products, it is not possible to return them. To ensure the highest quality and product safety, undeliverable consignments are disposed of properly or - where possible - donated to charitable organisations.

Can food be shipped internationally with DPD Food Express?

DPD Food Express is specially configured for the safe and fast shipping of fresh food within Germany - for maximum freshness and short transport routes.

Can I send DPD Food Express shipments to Pickup parcelshops?

No. Redirection to Pickup parcelshops is not possible with DPD Food Express.

Can I use DPD Food as a private sender?

DPD’s food shipping service is exclusively available to business customers. As a private sender, you can ship parcels via myDPD.
