DPD resumes deliveries to all areas affected by the flood

DPD is once again able to deliver to all areas affected by the floods in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. Operations are fully up and running, but under difficult conditions due to the massive damage to the roads and infrastructure.

Restrictions are still being experienced in 50374 Erftstadt-Blessem and the town centres of 53879 Euskirchen and 53902 Bad Münstereifel. Due to considerable damage and resulting closures on the A1 and A61 motorways as well as the B265 main road, there are still delays in deliveries and collections due to congested alternative routes.

In addition, due to extensive damage to roads and bridges there are restrictions on traffic in the postcode areas of 53520 Schuld, 53747 Bad Neuenahr/Ahrweiler, 53505 Altenahr, 53506 Ahrbrück, 53507 Dernau and 53508 Mayschoß.

According to the local authorities, it will take several more months to repair the infrastructure damage to the relevant motorways and main roads.
