The report makes CO₂ emissions from parcel shipping measurable – easy to understand, verifiable and accessible at any time.
With this new carbon report, we are establishing a benchmark for data-based climate accounting in parcel shipping. Upon request, our business customers receive precise CO₂ data for every single shipment. This information is transparent, traceable and covers the entire delivery chain. Accordingly, we not only create transparency, but also offer genuine decision-making certainty for ESG reporting, customer enquiries and audits. The carbon report helps business customers to systematically monitor their own climate targets, meet legal requirements and further develop internal sustainability strategies based on solid data. As part of Geopost's international network, DPD Germany benefits from a sophisticated, scientifically based tool that operates in line with the latest standards.
The calculations are made along the entire transport chain – from pickup via linehaul to delivery. The carbon report is based on recognised international standards for emissions accounting in freight transport. It is recognised by the Smart Freight Centre as compliant with the GLEC Framework and ISO 14083. It also meets the requirements of EN 17837, which describes the quantification, allocation and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions at the individual shipment level (parcel).
The report for completed shipping months can be conveniently generated in real time via the myDPD business customer portal – automatically and ready for download in the desired format.
