As Vice President of Operations & Planning for Lufthansa Airlines, the business mathematics graduate most recently had overall responsibility for the operational planning, control and monitoring of all Lufthansa Airlines flights worldwide.

Andreas Thams, who joined DPD in February 2021, will take up the position of Chief Sales Officer and thus head the Sales department in future. Born in Cuxhaven, he also teaches as an honorary professor for Revenue Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Worms.

„With Anke Förster and Andreas Thams we have found the ideal new members to supplement our experienced management team from within our own ranks. With their extensive expertise and many years of management experience, within a very short time both have significantly developed the area of network planning and optimisation and achieved success in this. I look forward to our continued work together and wish them every success in their new roles.”
