How can you best inform your customers about customs fees to the United Kingdom?

"Depending on the Billing Term (DP or NP) you choose, you can add information about the cost of the parcel to your website. When using the Billing term NP (the recipient has to pay) you increase the chance of a successful delivery by clearly indicating that your customer still has to pay customs fees to DPD before delivery and that your customer will receive a separate payment request for this. This reduces the cost of a possible return and makes you transparent to your customers.

Note: When you use DPD's online shipping service, you automatically choose DAP NP. The DAP DP option is not offered through the online shipping service.

Please note that there are fraudulent email messages in circulation. In the email messages of DPD there is always a 14-digit parcel number which you can fill in at the track & trace of dpd.nl. Together with the zip code of the address of the reciever it foms an unique combination. This way your customer can be sure that the payment request comes from DPD. "
