A better overview of online shopping: WEB.DE launches the intelligent mailbox in cooperation with DPD Germany

After a successful test run, all 15 million WEB.DE users can now use the "intelligent mailbox". DPD's parcel tracking is integrated. Thanks to the technology based on artificial intelligence, online shopping has now become even easier for online shoppers. Order-relevant emails are automatically detected and grouped in a new overview folder with the name "My orders". The information from the collected emails is sorted by order and supplemented with tracking information. The parcel status and the expected delivery time window are automated by WEB.DE and retrieved in real time in DPD's IT system.

In addition to the shipping status, other relevant messages such as the order confirmation are also displayed in the "My orders" overview. A direct link to the DPD Internet portal in the "My orders" folder gives users convenient access to further options for controlling and tracking DPD parcels. Services such as live tracking and Predict can be used, and various delivery options can also be selected. If the consignee is contrary to expectations not at home, for example, the delivery can be arranged for another day or redirected straight to a parcel shop, or a deposit okay can be issued.

In order to use the service WEB.DE users must give a multi-stage consent in their settings. By the way: from May onwards the intelligent mailbox will also be available to the 15 million GMX users.
