Full focus on the customer: DPDGroup optimises its DPD CLASSIC service in Europe

  • Day-definite and postcode-specific delivery forecast for ten European countries

  • Focus on digital solutions and positive customer experience

  • Predict service and 70,000 Pickup parcelshops across Europe offer maximum flexibility

Aschaffenburg, 13 February 2023 - As a leader in digital innovations in the CEP sector, the international DPDgroup is consistently driving forward the optimisation of its popular DPD CLASSIC service in order to continue to offer business customers the best possible shipping experience in future, too. For shippers and consignees in ten European countries this means reliable day-specific delivery forecasts for every individual postcode. DPD is supported in this by one of the largest and most efficient road transport networks in Europe.

Whether it's clothing, industrial goods or groceries: on the fiercely competitive e-commerce market DPD's shipping experts support their customers in a wide range of market segments. As a well-established service provider with global operations, DPD knows that successful long-term customer relationships are highly dependent on reliable service commitments. To ensure that DPD customers can integrate day-definite delivery times into their own ordering processes, DPD provides accurate parcel delivery forecasts on the basis of the postcodes of the shipper and of the consignee. The innovative delivery time calculator on the DPD website serves as a tool for this purpose. It is designed for international shipments between Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Ireland and Luxembourg. In addition, when customers place their shipping orders they can calculate the relevant delivery time on the myDPD digital service platform or in the Parcel Navigator.

In order to meet high customer expectations in terms of quality and reliability as effectively as possible, DPD is also continuously developing its cross-border Predict service. With this service, which has received an award from the "Stiftung Warentest" consumer magazine, consignees know exactly down to the last hour on the day of delivery when their parcel will arrive. DPD already offers its Predict service in 18 European countries.
In myDPD and in the DPD App consignees also have the option of deciding for themselves where their parcel is to be delivered. In addition to the preferred safe-place drop-off location or neighbour, redirection to a nearby Pickup parcelshop can also be arranged. With over 70,000 parcel shops across Europe, DPD offers its customers maximum flexibility when it comes to taking delivery of parcels.

"We know that our business customers need tailor-made solutions to expand their cross-border business in Europe. With DPD CLASSIC we offer them individual all-round carefree service packages at attractive prices."
