With DPD you can ship parcels in a wide range of sizes. You can calculate the size of your parcel by adding the longest and the shortest sides of the parcel together. When you start an order in myDPD and the DPD App you can have the parcel size calculated simply and conveniently by entering the dimensions (length x width x height).
You should protect your goods during shipment by securing them for transport. For this purpose you should use a robust, square or rectangular cardboard box, bubble wrap, padding material such as polystyrene peanuts or mechanically produced crumpled paper and adhesive tape. If the cardboard box has been used before, you should remove any old parcel labels. You will find detailed instructions on how to pack parcels correctly in our packing tips.
Because the weight and dimensions are required for a precise calculation of the shipping costs, you should measure and weigh the parcel. However, if your parcel data is different from our own measurements, it is possible that you will be invoiced for additional costs.

First and foremost, we want to get to know you - the person behind the resume - and at the same time give you the chance to get to know us as a company and as an employer. In this way, we can determine together if we are a good fit.
Our advice: Be yourself. Prepare yourself. Be curious and ask questions. Show us why you want to be a part of DPD.
It's simple: We are always setting ourselves new goals that we can grow by. We know our potential. The thirst for knowledge and the desire to develop further are in all of us!
That is why there are currently many innovation and change projects at DPD. We are all keen to get something off the ground as one big team, to go on a joint learning journey and to drive DPD forward. With several thousand employees at numerous locations across the country, our company may be the size of a corporation, but at the same time we have the culture of a medium-sized company. We are like a big family that rolls up our sleeves together and gets things done. And that includes giving each other open and honest feedback. We do this, among other things, in our regular employee surveys, which show us where we can improve even further.
Why not see for yourself? Take a look at our career site, read our reviews on kununu, watch our videos, and most important get to know us personally.
Applying is easy at DPD: visit our career site, select the job opening you're interested in, and click "Apply now." Then fill out the application form and upload your documents - done!
And if there is no suitable job ad for you, we are also happy to receive an unsolicited application.
We need your complete application documents, i.e., a cover letter, your CV and relevant certificates, in order to get a better impression of you and your previous experiences.
Whether you are a specialist or manager, a career changer or a graduate: the important thing is that you feel addressed by our job advertisement and that you can imagine working with us in that position. And even if you can't tick every single one of the requirements we've described: submit your application anyway - after all, you can learn (almost) anything!
If you follow these tips it will help to make your application to DPD a successful one. We look forward to getting to know you!
Use our online application process.
Send us your application documents in PDF format (max. 3 MB).
Your application should contain a letter, CV and copies of your reports/references.
Let us know what attracts you most to the advertised position, and what your qualifications are.
We'd also be interested to learn some personal details about you, e.g. what your hobbies are.

However, as a precautionary measure, personal confirmation of receipt by signature at the private front door is suspended for the time being. In addition, for the moment small, flat parcels of a suitable size can be put in the consignee\'s letterbox.
In order to avoid direct contact as a precautionary measure, you as the consignee of the parcel can also help us in a very concrete way:
Provide us with a deposit okay, so that the delivery driver can leave the parcel without direct customer contact, for example in the garden shed, in the garage or in front of the apartment door. Observe the hygiene regulations and avoid any physical contact. This rule is also followed by our delivery personnel.
Please check, especially in the case of commercial delivery addresses, whether parcel delivery to the addressee is actually possible.

DPD is raising awareness among its staff, and especially among all delivery personnel, of appropriate hygiene measures. In addition, masks are mandatory at all locations, and strict distance and hygiene rules apply in all areas of the company premises. All locations are equipped with protective equipment and disinfectants in large quantities. When entering a DPD site, all workers are checked with fever monitors for a possible elevated body temperature in order to detect possible cases of COVID-19 even faster. Updated pandemic plans exist for all locations in order to maintain our service in the event of a further spread of the corona virus. In addition, DPD offers all employees the opportunity to take up to two free rapid tests per week at their individual location. This offer is made on a voluntary basis. In addition, DPD Germany is offering vaccination to local staff and workers at various locations.
In principle DPD continues to carry out parcel shipments to all European countries. Conversely, parcels from abroad continue to be delivered in Germany.
In some areas delivery or collection of parcels is not possible or only possible to a limited extent due to official instructions.
Due to the current increase in the number of infections, it is possible in individual cases that traders may have to temporarily cease business activities and may not be able to receive parcels. So please check in advance whether parcel delivery to the addressee is actually possible.
